The CAFI founding conference is co-sponsored by the Centre for Jewish Studies at the University of Toronto, and will take place March 8-9, 2009, at the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto. Prompted by the desire to generate fair, informed, and pluralistic discussion and to protect civil and scholarly conversation as it pertains to the State of Israel, the 2008 CAFI Founding Conference is an inclusive, interdisciplinary, bilingual event.
The Canadian Academic Friends of Israel and the Canadian Federation of Jewish Students are proud to present the Canadian Jewish Young Scholars Program. The program will engage ten Canadian Jewish graduate students planning to pursue careers in academia. Scholars will be offered professional development workshops, Israel-education, and grant-based access to a pool of funds for research or conference attendance pertaining to Israel. Additionally, spots will be available for other Jewish graduate students to attend conferences and events.
